THE SUN HAS SET ON THE SKI SEASON!

Dear Friends!

The sun has set on Munakas for this ski season.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited Munakas this season, despite the less-than-ideal winter weather conditions!

What a season it was - it's hard to remember how many times we had to practically start from scratch with snowmaking. And those now legendary Munakas "from rain to rain" snow parks. We built about five or six versions of them.

The FIS Big Air European Cup, planned for early February, was canceled due to a lack of snow, but the Baltic Cup in alpine skiing took place several times - the Latvians even moved their stage to Munakas.

There was also a unique "hat trick" with the FIS Slope Style at Kuutseka and Big Air at Munakas on March 15 and 16. But it was accomplished in cooperation with the Ski Federation, and we dare say it went quite well.

Although most of the "winter" temperatures felt more tropical, we managed to stay open for quite a while: starting on December 7 and the last day being March 23. It was less than the usual four months, but not bad under these conditions. Our snowmakers learned a lot during this long forced snowmaking process. We realize, and hopefully have proven, that it is possible to keep a ski resort open and practice mountain sports even in such conditions. Plans for a significant development of the artificial snow system have already been made for the new season, so if we face another similarly warm winter, the conditions will certainly be even better.

Munaka Resto will remain open this weekend, March 28-30, but then it will also go on a longer break.

Once again, we sincerely thank all visitors and wish you a sunny and warm spring!
